B.J.M. Admission 2019

**Please be sure to read the announcement below before you apply to ensure you complete
all the required steps and submit any supporting documentation required.**

Applicant Qualifications:
 Specific qualifications

            (1) Thai students graduated from Thai School or equivalent

must meet the following requirements:

            -  Completion of secondary school education or equivalent

            - Attainment of an average score of at least 2.50 or

equivalent in further Mathayom education.

                        - An English proficiency test score of one

of the following types within 2 years up to the date of application:                                

TOEFL

minimum score 61 (Internet-based)                                                      

minimum score 173 (Computer-based)

minimum score 500 (Paper-based)

minimum score 500 (TOEFL ITP)

OR

OR

OR

OR

IELTS (Academic)

minimum score 6.0

OR

TU-GET

minimum score 500

OR

SAT

minimum score 400 (Evidence Based Reading and Writing)

 

 

                        (2)  Thai students or foreign students graduated

from abroad or international schools in Thailand  must meet the

following requirements:

-  Completion of secondary school education or equivalent

            - The attainment of an average score of at least 2.50 or equivalent
in further Mathayom education, or equivalents e.g. GCE, GCSE, IGCSE,
IB and GED.  The following conditions shall be applied:

            1) Applicants with GCE, GCSE or IGSCE results must receive
5 IGCSEs or GCSEs or GCE ‘O’ Levels with the grades of A*-C for
each subject and must receive additional test results as follows:

      1.1 At least 5 ASs with grades A-E, OR

                        1.2 At least 3 GCE ‘A’ Levels with grades A-E.
            2) Applicants with IB results must hold a High School Diploma
and/or receive IB Diploma and/or IB DP Course Results as follow:        

                        2.1 Applicants graduating from overseas must receive
IB Diploma, i.e. having earned an overall GPAs of at least 24 from
5 courses and 1 elective, and pass the Extended Essay (EE),
Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and Creativity, Action & Service (CAS)
evaluations in accordance with the International Baccalaureate
Organization (IBO).

                        2.2 Applicants must receive at least 5 IB Diploma Course
Results (IBCR) with no repeated subjects with the GPA of at least
2 for each subject (equivalent to 60% or GPA of at least 2 for each subject).


            3) Applicants with GED results must have passed at least
5 different subjects with a minimum score of 500. From May 2017
onwards, applicants must passed 4 different subjects with a minimum
score of 160. Applicants must also submit an official high school
transcript of grade 10 and 11.                                       
 

            4) Applicants graduated from New Zealand must pass
the New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA)
under the supervision of New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
with at least 80 credits including:

      - At least 60 credits of subjects on level 2 or higher, and

      - At least 20 credits of subjects on level 1 or higher,

            English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) may be counted
as one subject.

            Graduates must receive NCEA level 2 certificate, Record of
Achievement, and a letter certifying the level, the numbers of subjects,
and credits of each subject from the New Zealand Qualifications
Authority (NZQA).
 

            5) Applicants graduating from international programs in countries
other than those in 1-4 must check the overseas equivalency qualifications
from the Notifications of the Ministry of Education Re: Overseas Equivalency
Qualifications dated 18 January 2002.

            - An English proficiency test score of one of the following types
within 2 years up to the date of application:

Remarks: In case the number of qualified applicants in Program Admission 1 is less
               than 75, the remaining slots will be added to the next round (Program Admission 2).

Selection criteria

            Selection criteria consist of 2 parts listed below :

            (1) An English-language written examination testing knowledge 2
subjects: Basic Knowledge of Mass Communication and current affairs.

            (2) English-Language Interview

 

Application Process

            1) Fill in an application form through our website:
www.jc.tu.ac.th/bjm and submit it online.

            2) Print out the completed application form. Verify
correctness and completeness of the information before printing out
the application form.  The university places importance only to the
information provided in the on-line application.

            3) Print out the Pay-in slip. Pay application fee
(1,000 Baht) via Siam Commercial Bank. Please note that failure
to meet payment deadline results in automatic withdrawal of application.

            4) Retain application payment receipt from bank.

            5) The applicants can check the payment status after
5 days at www.jc.tu.ac.th/bjm.  The details on exam schedule, venue
and the list of qualified candidates will be announce later at
www.jc.tu.ac.th/bjm

            6) The applicant must also register for TCAS system online
via this link: http://mytcas.com/
 
            7) The applicant must take the written exam and
submit the documents on 1st March 2019 (9.00-12.00 hrs.) as follows:

            1. A complete application form (www.jc.tu.ac.th/bjm)
with 1 inch photo (Taken in full-face view with student uniform
or polite attire, hat and sunglasses are not allowed in your photo)

            2. A certified copy of identification card or passport
(for foreign applicant only)

            3. A certified copy of high school certificate or
equivalency certificate

            4. A certified copy of high school transcript

            5. A certified copy of an English Proficiency Test

The applicants must check that they meet the program requirements
according to the requirements announced. If there are any mistake
from the applicants or the applicant’s qualifications does not meet
the requirements, the applicants will be disqualified.
